Who can participate in Friendship Circle?
Friendship Circle serves children, teens, and young adults with special needs throughout the Greater Phoenix area. We welcome participants of all backgrounds, abilities, and levels of support needs.
Is there a cost to participate?
Program fees vary depending on the activity. Most programs have a minimal participation fee, and scholarships are available to ensure that every family has the opportunity to participate.
How do I register my child?
New families should complete our New Family Registration form. Afterward, families meet with our Program Director so we can get to know their child and family. Once registered, families can easily sign up for individual programs and events throughout the year.
Do I need to participate in every program or event?
No. Families can choose the programs and events that are the best fit for their child and schedule. Participation is flexible, and there is no requirement to attend every activity or program offered throughout the year.
What ages do you serve?
Friendship Circle offers programs for children, teens, and young adults. Our programs are designed to provide age-appropriate opportunities for participants at every stage.
Are programs one-on-one or group based?
Both. Friendship Circle offers one-on-one friendship opportunities through programs like Friends at Home, as well as group programs, camps, outings, holiday events, and social activities.
Who are the volunteers?
Friendship Circle is powered by teen and young adult volunteers from across the community who help create meaningful friendships and experiences for participants throughout the year.
Do participants need a specific diagnosis?
No. Friendship Circle welcomes individuals with a wide range of abilities and support needs. If your child would benefit from additional support, friendship opportunities, or social experiences, we encourage you to contact us to learn more.
Can siblings participate?
Many Friendship Circle programs and events welcome siblings and other family members. Participation guidelines may vary depending on the activity.
