At Friendship Circle, volunteering is more than giving your time. It is an opportunity to make a real difference, grow as a person, and become part of a community built on friendship and inclusion.
Our volunteers help create meaningful experiences for children, teens, and young adults with special needs through programs, events, camps, outings, and one-on-one connections.
Make a Difference
Every volunteer has the ability to brighten someone's day, build confidence, and help a participant feel included and valued. Sometimes the smallest moments — a conversation, a game, a shared laugh — can make the biggest impact.
Through friendship and connection, volunteers help create a community where everyone belongs.
Grow as a Leader
Volunteering encourages teens and adults to step outside themselves, take responsibility, and develop compassion, patience, and leadership. By giving to others, volunteers often discover strengths and qualities they did not know they had.
The skills developed through Friendship Circle extend far beyond our programs and can have a lasting impact on school, careers, relationships, and everyday life.
Be Changed by the Experience
Many volunteers come to Friendship Circle hoping to give. Very often, they leave realizing how much they have received.
The friendships, perspective, and life lessons gained through volunteering can stay with a person long after the program ends.
Opportunities for Teens and Adults
Teen volunteers are at the heart of Friendship Circle. Through programs such as Sunday Circle, Friends at Home, camps, holiday programs, and special events, volunteers build meaningful friendships while making a lasting impact on the lives of participants.
Adults also play an important role in the Friendship Circle community. As our programs continue to grow, we welcome adults who would like to share their time, talents, and expertise. Opportunities may include assisting with programs and events, helping in the office, supporting special projects, or sharing professional skills such as art, music, sports, fitness, therapy, and other areas of interest.
Whether volunteering regularly or occasionally, every contribution helps strengthen our community and create meaningful experiences for participants and their families.
